Christmas day bought a very unexpected surprise with a wonderful gift of a perfume I was very doubtful I would ever smell again. Geminesse by Max Factor. A very old perfume but holds many memories of working in the department store, my first job. I tentatively opened the box which although fragile had perfectly protected the contents. Two still wrapped round bars of soap and a old glass bottle. As I lifted the scent to my nose I was transported back to the 70s and a gush of memories. I held the bottle tightly basking in the olfactory tide. Will I ever wear it ? No, it is too precious , it will be my time machine to transport me back to simpler times and youthful adventure of times yet to come.
